Clinical Application Specialist

Clinical Application Specialist North Europe Competitive Permanent

Candidates must be based in the EMEA area and speak English.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develops customized beam models for treatment delivery machines at individual facilities.
  • Communicates directly with customer to obtain data and information needed to assess beam modeling needs.
  • Performs data analysis to identify modifications required for a facility's custom beam model.
  • Performs computerized planning using dose calculation software in order to optimize a facility's custom beam model.
  • Verifies mathematical accuracy of all calculations and generates documentation detailing results of custom beam model.
  • Collaborates with company Training Team and Support Operations to resolve any diametric discrepancies identified by customer.
  • Develops software tools to improve beam model data collection, staging, analysis and reporting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of medical physics principles (Radiotherapy Dose Calculation, Linear Accelerator Operation, Radiation Therapy Quality Assurance) is desired but not required.
  • Experienced in data analysis and problem solving.
  • Enjoys working in a team-based or in an independent environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with treatment planning systems and the DICOM File Type.

Academic Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Medical Physics or related discipline.
  • 1 year’s clinical experience in Radiation Therapy.
